The company serves users and businesses through multiple interconnected platforms and is focused on strengthening its infrastructure to support reliability, security, and continued growth.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of our cloud infrastructure, production environments, and deployment systems. The role involves completing an ongoing infrastructure migration across regions while ensuring service continuity, data integrity, and minimal disruption to users.The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and production reliability. This individual must be comfortable making independent technical decisions, identifying infrastructure improvements proactively, and managing critical systems with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities:1. Infrastructure Migration and ManagementLead the migration of production workloads from legacy infrastructure to a new regional setup.Develop migration plans, service cutover strategies, rollback procedures, and validation checks.Minimize downtime and ensure data integrity and uninterrupted service during migration.Manage and maintain production infrastructure across cloud environments.2. Cloud Infrastructure and KubernetesDesign, manage, and optimize AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters.Ensure infrastructure scalability, availability, performance, and resilience.Manage networking, access controls, resource allocation, and workload autoscaling.Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and single points of failure.3. Monitoring, Reliability, and Incident ManagementImplement and maintain effective monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems.Lead incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.Develop and maintain runbooks and operational documentation.Proactively identify and address reliability risks before they affect users.4. Automation and DeliveryImplement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient software delivery.Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, scaling, and operational processes.Enable engineering teams to deploy new services and platform improvements safely.5. Security and Cost OptimizationImplement secure secrets management, least-privilege access, and network security controls.Monitor and optimize cloud expenditure without compromising system reliability.Improve resource utilization through workload right-sizing and autoscaling.Establish infrastructure practices that support secure, dependable production operations.6. Technical Ownership and CollaborationTake independent ownership of infrastructure priorities, technical decisions, and execution.Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform architecture and operational efficiency.Communicate technical decisions, risks, and incidents clearly.Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.Required Qualifications and Experience:Proven experience operating and managing production Kubernetes clusters.Demonstrated experience leading or directly owning production Kubernetes migrations or cross-region infrastructure migrations.Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and production infrastructure management.Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.Experience building monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex problems, and make sound technical decisions.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in fintech, digital payments, or other financial technology environments.Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, distributed systems, or high-volume transaction platforms.Experience operating blockchain nodes, RPC infrastructure, or indexers.Demonstrated success in reducing cloud costs while maintaining reliability and performance.Experience managing mission-critical systems with stringent availability and data-integrity requirements.Work Arrangement:Remote working arrangement with a Nepal-based core engineering team.Full-time freelance contract Sunday–Friday working schedule, with Saturday off.What We Offer?End-to-end ownership of critical production infrastructure.The opportunity to lead a significant infrastructure migration.A high-impact role with autonomy over technical decisions and improvements.
