Accountant

Job Summary: An investment firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant. The candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with Nepali tax regulations, and setting up accounting systems across various project locations outside. Key Responsibilities: Set up and implement accounting systems at project sites (including locations outside the valley). Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets. Handle VAT, tax filings, and ensure compliance with Nepal’s taxation laws. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. Coordinate with auditors and assist in audit processes. Ensure proper internal controls and financial procedures are in place. Provide financial insights and support management in decision-making. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience (hospitality sector preferred). Strong working knowledge of Tally accounting software. In-depth understanding of Nepali Taxation, VAT, and regulatory compliance. Experience in setting up accounting systems from scratch is highly preferred. Willingness to travel and work outside Kathmandu Valley as required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
