Plant Operator / Shift In-charge

InfraPro Construction is seeking a responsible and technically competent Plant Operator / Shift In-charge to oversee plant operations, ensure smooth production activities, and maintain the efficient and safe functioning of plant machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in plant operation, shift management, equipment monitoring, and troubleshooting.Key Responsibilities:Operate and monitor turbine-generator units and associated hydropower plant systems during assigned shifts.Perform and supervise plant start-up, shutdown, synchronization, loading, unloading, and normal operating procedures.Monitor plant operations through SCADA, PLC, HMI, and other plant control systems.Monitor turbine governing, excitation, protection, generator control, and auxiliary systems.Monitor and operate the 132 kV switchyard, including transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs/CVTs, and associated equipment.Identify and respond appropriately to alarms, trips, faults, and abnormal operating conditions.Carry out initial fault identification and troubleshooting and coordinate with maintenance teams when required.Handle emergency shutdown and restoration of generating units in accordance with established procedures.Supervise and coordinate operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel during assigned shifts.Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and auxiliary systems.Maintain accurate daily operation logs, generation records, equipment status, alarm/trip records, and shift reports.Communicate operational status, faults, maintenance requirements, and other important observations to the concerned management/team.Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, operational standards, and established SOPs.Take timely and appropriate operational decisions during emergency and abnormal conditions.Perform other operational responsibilities as assigned by the management.
