About BunekoBuneko is a Nepal-based sustainable brand working at the intersection of art, craft, and clothes. We are interested in creating clothing that is thoughtful, functional, and made to last.We work with local makers, existing materials, surplus garments, and different forms of textile and craft production. We believe design is not only about making something new, but also about understanding what already exists and finding better ways to use it.About the RoleWe are looking for a Fashion Designer who is curious about clothing, materials, and the process of making.You will work closely with our design and production team, helping us develop new garments and improve existing ones. This role will give you hands-on experience in the journey from an idea to a finished garment.What You Will DoAssist in developing new clothing designs and collectionsResearch fashion, textiles, materials, crafts, and design referencesCreate moodboards, sketches, and design conceptsAssist with fabric and material selectionHelp develop patterns, samples, and prototypesWork with tailors and makers during the sampling and production processAssist with fittings and garment alterationsExplore ways to use existing, surplus, and locally available materialsDocument design and sampling processesHelp with product measurements, specifications, and technical detailsAssist in developing new ideas for garments, details, prints, and constructionParticipate in photoshoots, styling, and other creative projects when requiredWhat We Are Looking ForA student or recent graduate studying Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fine Arts, or a related fieldStrong interest in clothing and fashionBasic understanding of garment construction and textilesAbility to sketch and communicate design ideasWillingness to learn through hands-on workGood observation and attention to detailCurious about materials and how things are madeComfortable working with a small and growing teamGood communication and willingness to work with tailors, makers, and other team membersYou do not need to know everything.
