MCR Operator

Job Description: Monitor DTH, IPTV, OTT, and DVB-C/T2 platforms as the first point of contact, ensuring continuous visibility of system health and service status. Detect system anomalies at an early stage, generate tickets, and promptly escalate issues to the relevant technical or engineering teams for resolution. Perform routine platform checks, including signal quality, stream availability, encoder/decoder status, and channel lineup verification, to ensure all services are operating within expected parameters. Respond to system faults or alarms by performing first-level troubleshooting before escalating unresolved issues to minimize service disruption. Monitor live broadcast feeds, encoding/transcoding systems, and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to ensure uninterrupted signal delivery across all platforms. Log, track, and maintain accurate records of incidents, faults, and resolutions in the ticketing and monitoring system for audit and reporting purposes. Coordinate with Network Operations, Engineering, and Field Support teams to ensure the timely resolution of reported issues. Conduct shift handover briefings, ensuring incoming operators are informed of ongoing issues, pending tickets, and overall system status. Perform ad-hoc monitoring, testing, reporting, and other tasks assigned by supervisors or senior team members. Prepare and submit shift reports summarizing system performance, incidents, escalations, and actions taken during the shift.
