Manager - Civil Engineering

A reputed hydropower company is seeking a qualified and experienced Manager – Civil Engineering to strengthen its project and engineering operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting technical reviews, project monitoring, cost validation, reporting, and coordination with contractors, consultants, technical advisors, and relevant government authorities.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in project design reviews, cost validation, and preparation/review of technical specifications.Review project reports, contractual documents, invoices, drawings, and technical submittals from contractors, consultants, and third parties.Support the Engineering Department in evaluating technical matters and taking necessary actions.Monitor and report project progress on a daily basis.Closely monitor ongoing civil and construction activities and maintain proper records.Coordinate with the Company's technical advisors and advisors appointed by lending institutions, and review their reports.Prepare monthly progress and project reports for relevant Government of Nepal (GON) authorities and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) as required under project agreements.Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations for the Company's Directors, GON authorities, and other stakeholders.Review and certify Interim Payment Applications/Certificates submitted by construction contractors.Monitor, review, and validate overall project costs, milestones, and progress records.Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and project-related issues.Perform other engineering and project management responsibilities as assigned by management.
