Software Engineering (Node.js)Job Descriptionyatri motorcycles We are looking for a talented Software Engineer (Node.js) to join our software development team. Successful candidates will have extensive experience in designing and building backend solutions. This includes all associated areas such as database and architecture design. The individual should share the passion to engineer the best electric motorcycle in the world. We are constantly looking to innovate and adopt new technologies, so you should be able to embrace constant learning. Responsibilities: • Design and implementation of the overall web architecture • Make architectural decisions in collaboration with technology experts, ensure proper technical documentation • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code • Ensuring the entire stack is designed and built for speed and scalability • Design and construction of our REST API • Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment • Actively involve in improving organizational culture, process, and standards • Keep abreast of latest technology trends Requirements: • 3+ years of hands-on professional experience of developing solutions • Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Typescript (ES6) • Strong knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it, such as express • Hands-on experience in designing Restful APIs • Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds • Understanding of WebSockets and Server-Sent Events. • Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes • Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components • Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments -- 1 of 2 -- • Architecting and automating the build process for production, using task runners or scripts • Understanding of fundamental design principles and architectural patterns for building a scalable application • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills • Experience working in an Agile environment • Professional, precise communication skills • Working knowledge with software platforms and services, such as Docker, SQS/SNS, AWS Lambda is preferable Benefits • Health insurance with 100% premium covered • Generous PTO / sick leave • PF plan with employer match • Free snacks and drinks • Annual company retreat • Bring your dog to work 🐶 • Work in a high-growth start up that will redefine urban mobility About Us Yatri was founded in 2017 to prove world-class electric vehicles can be designed, engineered and manufactured from the ground up in Nepal - that switching to electric does not have to be a compromise but better, quicker and kinder to the planet.
