Java Backend Developer

We are looking for a Part-Time Java Backend Developer to help build, maintain, and enhance scalable backend services for our platform.The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of professional Java backend development experience and strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, relational databases, and service-oriented application development.You will work on ongoing backend development, new feature implementation, system improvements, bug fixes, integrations, and performance optimization. This is a part-time role with flexible working hours and is well suited for a developer who can work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader development team. Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.Design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable REST APIs.Work with Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and PostgreSQL.Create and maintain database migrations using Flyway.Integrate backend services using OpenFeign and service-to-service communication.Implement authentication, authorization, input validation, and centralized error handling.Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.Troubleshoot bugs, resolve backend issues, and improve application performance.Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members on feature development and integrations.Write and maintain unit and integration tests for backend functionality.Support Docker-based development, testing, and deployment workflows.Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining backend development standards.
