Department: Marketing & Business DevelopmentReports To: Chief Executive Officer / General Manager / Director Job SummaryThe Marketing Manager – Healthcare and Medical Technology is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing, business development, and sales support initiatives to drive sustainable business growth across the company's portfolio of medical equipment, ophthalmic instruments, diagnostic solutions, hospital consumables, healthcare technology, and related healthcare products. The role focuses on expanding market presence, strengthening institutional partnerships, increasing brand visibility, managing product portfolios, supporting tender and procurement activities, and achieving organizational revenue objectives through effective leadership and strategic execution.Key Responsibilities:1. Business Growth Strategy:Develop and implement comprehensive marketing, sales, and business development strategies to achieve sustainable revenue growth.Identify new market opportunities and develop initiatives to increase market share across healthcare segments.Prepare annual marketing plans, business forecasts, budgets, and growth strategies aligned with organizational objectives.Monitor business performance and recommend strategic improvements to maximize profitability.2. Business Development & Market Expansion:Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities within hospitals, eye care centers, diagnostic laboratories, clinics, healthcare institutions, government agencies, NGOs, INGOs, corporate healthcare providers, and other healthcare organizations.Expand the customer base through strategic account acquisition and market penetration initiatives.Develop institutional sales opportunities and strengthen long-term customer relationships.3. Customer Relationship Management:Establish and maintain strong relationships with hospital management, procurement departments, biomedical engineers, clinicians, ophthalmologists, surgeons, healthcare administrators, and key decision-makers.Conduct regular customer visits to understand requirements, provide product solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.Support key account management activities and strengthen long-term business partnerships.4. Product Marketing & Portfolio Management:Develop product positioning, branding, pricing, and go-to-market strategies for healthcare products and technologies.Plan and execute product launches, promotional campaigns, scientific meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and educational programs.Collaborate with suppliers and technical teams to ensure effective product lifecycle management.Monitor product performance and recommend portfolio optimization strategies.5. Tender & Institutional Business Management:Identify and monitor government, private sector, donor-funded, and institutional procurement opportunities.Coordinate tender participation, bid preparation, pricing, technical documentation, compliance requirements, and contract negotiations.Ensure timely submission of bids and adherence to procurement regulations and organizational policies.Maintain an updated pipeline of institutional projects and procurement opportunities.6. Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:Conduct continuous market research to evaluate industry trends, customer needs, competitor activities, emerging technologies, and pricing strategies.Prepare market intelligence reports to support strategic planning and business decision-making.Identify new healthcare technologies and market opportunities for portfolio expansion.7. Strategic Partnerships & Principal Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, international principals, healthcare organizations, and technology partners.Coordinate with international partners regarding product updates, training, regulatory requirements, and business planning.Explore opportunities for introducing new products and expanding the company's healthcare portfolio.8. Marketing Communications & Brand Management:Lead corporate branding and marketing communication initiatives.Manage digital marketing campaigns, website content, social media platforms, promotional materials, public relations activities, and corporate communications.Ensure consistent brand positioning across all marketing channels.Measure marketing effectiveness and optimize campaigns for maximum return on investment.9. Team Leadership & Performance Management:Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing and business development team.Establish departmental KPIs and performance targets.Monitor team performance through regular reviews and coaching.Prepare periodic management reports, sales forecasts, marketing performance analyses, and business development updates.Ensure departmental activities comply with organizational policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
