VACANCY NOTICECARE Nepal1. Position: Finance Officer- AP Payroll based in KathmanduThe Finance Officer- AP Payroll is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations of the organization. The position primarily supports Kathmandu-based operations, with approximately 20% field travel as required, and serves as the primary backup for the Accounts Payable (AP) module in PeopleSoft.The role manages day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, payroll support, tax compliance, bank and account reconciliations, and treasury and cash-flow management. It ensures proper financial documentation, compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements, and effective financial controls. The Position also supports month-end and year-end closing activities in coordination with the Shared Service Centre (SSC) and relevant units, as well as audits and account-code reconciliations. The position provides accurate and timely financial information to management, identifies and resolves discrepancies, and contributes to maintaining financial integrity, confidentiality, and efficient financial operations. 2. Procurement and Supply Chain Officer based in KathmanduUnder the supervision of the Procurement, Logistics and Fleet Specialist, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining professional relationships with vendors to ensure timely procurement of quality goods and services. The position facilitates effective coordination among CARE Nepal, project offices, and vendors; develops and monitors procurement plans and lease commitments; and ensures timely delivery to support smooth program implementation.The role ensures procurement activities comply with donor requirements, CARE USA procurement policies, procedures, and relevant guidelines, while maintaining proper documentation and accountability throughout the procurement process. The incumbent is expected to consistently uphold CARE’s policies and standards in all procurement-related activities3. Finance and Sub Grant Officer (Nurture Every Future- Poshan) based in Madhesh ProvinceThe Finance and Sub-Grant Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective financial management, compliance, and oversight of sub-grants in accordance with organizational policies, donor regulations, and statutory requirements. The position supports the planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and financial reporting of sub-grants while ensuring that project expenditures are aligned with approved budgets and grant agreements.The role strengthens partners’ financial management capacity through regular coaching, financial reviews, compliance monitoring, and technical support, while ensuring timely resolution of identified gaps and promoting accountability and sound stewardship of project resources. The incumbent will coordinate with program and finance teams to facilitate timely fund disbursements, budget revisions, liquidation processing, and accurate financial record-keeping to support efficient project implementation. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for processing accounting transactions related to CARE offices and staff, ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial procedures. The employee is expected to fully comply with CARE’s safety and security policies and remain accountable for their implementation 4. Finance and Subgrants Officer – based in KathmanduThe position is responsible for the effective financial and compliance management of subgrants within the assigned portfolio. This includes developing and implementing an annual partner monitoring plan in coordination with the supervisor and Grants & Subgrants Manager, conducting regular monitoring visits, and following up on identified risks, gaps, and capacity-building needs. The incumbent supports partners throughout the subgrant lifecycle by providing guidance on budget preparation, agreement modifications, financial management, and compliance requirements. The role reviews partner expenditures against approved budgets, ensures timely processing and recording of liquidations, and coordinates fund transfers to support uninterrupted program implementation.
