Senior Account Officer

Jagdamba Steels Limited is looking for a Senior Account Officer to join our Finance & Accounts team at our Corporate Office in Gairidhara, Kathmandu. Department: Finance & Accounts Position: Senior Account Officer Location: Gairidhara, Kathmandu Key Responsibilities Record and allocate store purchase and expense transactions. Reconcile freight expenses against GRNs and maintain supporting documents. Handle accounting entries for local and foreign freight, customs duty, VAT and insurance. Manage accounting documentation related to import shipments of stores, machinery, raw materials and trading goods. Process and coordinate bills related to clearing agents, dry port, demurrage, handling and commission charges. Maintain and reconcile advances against customs duty. Follow up, verify and process bills for payment. Ensure timely and proper documentation of freight and other import-related expenses. Support reconciliation and other routine accounting activities as required. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field. MBS/MBA will be an advantage. 2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing, trading or import-related organizations. Good knowledge of accounting, reconciliation and expense management. Practical understanding of import, freight and customs-related accounting. Good working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting/ERP software. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
