Academic Leadership and PedagogyCurriculum and Pedagogy Oversight: Champion GCT's “Foundations First” ethos and “Human Systems” approach, ensuring that undergraduate teaching across the Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Cyber Security pathways meets the highest international standards.Faculty Governance: Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and workload allocation; ensure that all teaching staff undergo and successfully complete the mandatory vetting process conducted directly by the University of Huddersfield.Academic Progression and Support: Direct the implementation of the UoH-mandated Personal Academic Tutor (PAT) system, ensuring individualised pastoral care, academic mentoring, and student retention.2. TNE Compliance and Quality AssuranceUK QAA Standards: Guarantee that all local academic delivery, module moderation, double-blind second marking, and assessment frameworks strictly adhere to UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) parameters.Partner University Liaison: Serve as the primary institutional counterpart to the University of Huddersfield's Collaborative Provision Link Officer (CPLO), managing annual Self-Evaluation Documents (SEDs) and External Examiner reviews.Regulatory and Accreditation Compliance: Ensure full institutional compliance with the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) and University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal quality assurance guidelines and equivalence frameworks.3. Strategic Growth and Ecosystem DevelopmentIndustry and Corporate Integration: Leverage GCT's strategic location within the Baneshwor Tech Epicentre to establish corporate pipelines, joint laboratories, and internship frameworks with leading technology companies in the vicinity (e.g., Fuse-machines, Leapfrog, and others).Innovation and Incubation: Lead campus innovation initiatives, supervising the Incubation Centre for Entrepreneurship and student technical showcases, including hackathons and bootcamps.Global Group Synergy: Align GCT's strategic trajectory with the broader Professional Holdings Limited network (Global College of Management, Global School of Science and Uniglobe SS/ College), capitalising on executive alumni networks across Nepal.4. Operational and Administrative ManagementInstitutional Operations: Oversee day-to-day campus administration, smart-classroom logistics, AI/robotics laboratory infrastructure, and digital cloud environments (Microsoft 365 / Azure tenant).Student Life and Culture: Supervise the Extra-Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities (ECA/CCA) department, ensuring a vibrant and balanced campus culture that respects local cultural traditions alongside academic timelines.Crisis and Grievance Management: Act as the final local authority for student academic appeals, disciplinary panels, and Section 10 Academic Misconduct proceedings.5. Leading and Organising the Research and Innovation DepartmentThe Principal will lead and organise the Research and Innovation Department in respect of the following ongoing activities:Studies on Teaching and Learning Quality Assurance: Continuous, ongoing research and studies on international trends, changes, and innovations in curriculum, teaching-learning methodologies, technological advancement in teaching, and professional skills practicums.Future Career Prospects Studies: Continuous studies on the present and future job market for GCT graduates, to ensure their employability.In-College ICT Business Prospects Studies: Research and studies to identify prospective ICT start-ups by GCT that can generate sources of funds for the College and provide internship and employment opportunities for students in need.Student Population and Market Direction Studies: Continuous action research to study the population, demographic shifts, social psychology, and market trends of the College's enrolment feeder-group population.
