Mechanical Engineer – Non-Woven Carpet Manufacturing PlantCompany: ST Carpets Pvt. Ltd. Location: Biratnagar, NepalJob Responsibilities:Monitor and maintain mechanical machinery and equipment used in carpet production.Carry out regular preventive maintenance to ensure smooth and continuous production.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and minimize machine downtime.Inspect machines, motors, bearings, belts, rollers, gears, and other mechanical components.Coordinate with the production team to identify and resolve machine-related issues.Maintain records of machine maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and spare parts.Ensure proper installation, alignment, and functioning of new machinery and equipment.Coordinate with external technicians, machine suppliers, and service providers when required.Assist in improving machine efficiency, reducing breakdowns, and optimizing production processes.Ensure that machinery is operated and maintained according to safety standards.Support the management in planning machinery upgrades, replacements, and new equipment installations.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.Experience with textile, carpet, or other industrial machinery will be an advantage.Good knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work closely with production and maintenance teams.Willingness to be based at the Biratnagar manufacturing plant.
