Responsibilities We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong Python expertise to develop and maintain data pipelines, implement ETL processes, and ensure scalable, reliable data infrastructure. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data for analysis and decision-making. The role involves designing data architectures for both batch and real-time processing, while upholding quality, security, and compliance. This position offers growth opportunities, exposure to modern data technologies, and the chance to shape our data platform while solving complex technical challenges.As Data Engineer, your responsibilities would typically be to:Key ResponsibilitiesCollaboration and Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with data scientists, analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders.Translate business requirements into technical specifications.Conduct regular meetings, document requirements, and ensure alignment with objectives.Data Quality and GovernanceImplement monitoring and validation processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.Develop data quality metrics, automated validation rules, and lineage tracking.Collaborate with governance teams to enforce data standards, policies, and procedures.Performance Monitoring and OptimizationContinuously monitor and optimize system and pipeline performance.Implement monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning systems.Proactively address bottlenecks and ensure cost-effective scalability. Skills Advanced Technical SkillsExperience with Java, Scala, or R.Knowledge of ML concepts and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).Familiarity with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Apache Superset).Experience with API development and microservices.Industry CertificationsCertifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure Data Engineering.Certifications in big data technologies (Cloudera, Databricks).Project management certifications (PMP, Agile/Scrum) preferred.Specialized ExperienceIndustry experience in finance, healthcare, e-commerce, or telecom.Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and compliance requirements.Exposure to data mesh, event-driven, or serverless architectures.Essential Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to troubleshoot, identify root causes, and design effective solutions.Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.Strong collaboration and teamwork mindset.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and data accuracy.Adaptability to evolving tools, frameworks, and priorities.Effective time management and organizational skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.2–4 years of professional experience in data engineering, software development, or related field.Equivalent practical experience may be considered.Advanced degrees or certifications in data engineering, cloud, or big data are highly valued.Python Programming ExpertiseStrong proficiency in Python and Git version control.Familiarity with branching strategies, code reviews, CI/CD practices.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerization technologies.Knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies.Data Modeling and ArchitectureStrong understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and warehousing principles.Experience with data lake architectures and metadata management.Familiarity with data catalog and discovery tools.
