We work with governments, NGOs, INGOs, private enterprises, and international development agencies — including the World Bank, UNICEF, UNDP, GIZ, Save the Children, and the Nepal Red Cross Society — to design and deliver practical, context-sensitive solutions across research, training, monitoring & evaluation, and management consulting.MITRA is seeking a motivated and versatile National Intern to support its consulting, training, and research work in Kathmandu. The role offers hands-on exposure to project support, research and M&E, training coordination, and communications. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; the start date is as soon as possible. Responsibilities Research, Consultancy & M&E SupportAssist with data collection, surveys, key informant interviews, and basic quantitative/qualitative analysis for consultancy assignments.Support monitoring and evaluation of client projects, and help prepare outputs for internal learning and donor reporting.Help develop visual presentation of data (infographics, tables, charts) for reports and studies. Training & Capacity DevelopmentSupport organizing workshops, trainings, and professional development programmes for client organizations.Assist with logistics: venue booking, material preparation, participant coordination, and follow-up.Help with note-taking, documentation, and drafting training/session reports. Communications & AdministrationSupport content development for MITRA's outreach materials, newsletters, and social media presence.Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, attendance records, and procurement documentation.Support senior consultants and the Managing Director with daily tasks and special assignments.Adapt to new responsibilities as project needs evolve. Requirements Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant field (Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Public Health, or related field).Strong written and spoken English and Nepali.High motivation, flexibility, a professional, and collaborative attitude. Digital literacy - MS Office/Google tools; familiarity with Excel or basic M&E/data tools is a plus.Interest in organizational development, research, training, or the social development sector.Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
