Backend Engineer (Python / Django)

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with 2+ years of experience in client projects using Python and Django to design, implement, and maintain scalable web services, clean APIs, database architectures, and AI-powered integrations. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable REST APIs and microservices using Python and Django / Django REST Framework.Design and optimize relational database schemas, complex queries, and migrations using PostgreSQL.Implement authentication, authorization, caching strategies, and third-party API integrations.Leverage modern development toolchains and AI-assisted workflows for efficient backend engineering.Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code adhering to software engineering best practices.Collaborate with frontend engineers and project managers to ship client deliverables on schedule. Requirements & Qualifications 2+ years of verified professional experience in backend engineering on client projects using Python and Django / DRF.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Adept with modern development toolchains, Linux environments, and AI-assisted coding tools.Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL), SQL query optimization, and ORM usage.Experience designing and securing RESTful APIs and background job processing.Proficiency with Git, code quality tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.Ability to work in a hybrid setup with regular collaboration at our Sankhamul, Kathmandu office.
