Coffee Roaster

The Coffee Roaster will be responsible for roasting green coffee beans to achieve consistent quality, flavor, aroma, and roast profiles. The role involves operating and maintaining roasting equipment, monitoring each batch, conducting quality checks, maintaining roast records, and ensuring proper food safety and workplace standards. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor coffee roasting machines and related equipment. Select, inspect, and prepare green coffee beans for roasting. Follow established roast profiles and adjust temperature, time, airflow, and other parameters as required. Monitor the roasting process to achieve the desired color, aroma, flavor, and consistency. Conduct quality control checks, including visual and sensory evaluation of roasted coffee. Maintain accurate records of roast batches, profiles, quantities, and quality results. Clean, inspect, and perform routine maintenance of roasting equipment and the work area. Identify and report equipment issues or abnormalities. Collaborate with the production team to develop new blends and improve roasting techniques. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards. Package and label roasted coffee beans according to company standards. Assist with inventory management of green coffee beans, packaging materials, and other supplies. Handle and move coffee bags and materials safely. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the roasting and production area.
