The role will provide managerial oversight and cross-functional leadership in the development, implementation, and performance management of insurance products and services, while ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities. The position will work closely with senior management, insurance partners, technology teams, regulators, and other key stakeholders to strengthen partnerships, enhance business performance, identify new growth opportunities, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic insurance initiatives. Qualification and Experience 6–8 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the insurance, fintech, digital financial services, banking, or related industry. Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in business development, product management, partnerships, or insurance business. Experience in managing cross-functional projects and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders will be an advantage. Job Description 1. Product & Feature Development Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities for new insurance products. Support product feasibility assessments, product design, pricing inputs, and business case preparation. Define product requirements and coordinate with insurance partners, technology teams, and internal stakeholders for product development and enhancement. Recommend appropriate integration approaches, including eSewa API and Generic API, based on product and business requirements. Coordinate UAT, QA, testing, issue resolution, product launch, and post-launch monitoring. Monitor product performance and recommend improvements based on customer feedback, market trends, and business results. 2. Product Marketing & Promotion Develop and execute product-specific marketing and promotional plans in coordination with the Marketing team and insurance partners. Drive awareness, customer acquisition, renewal, and usage of insurance products through eSewa’s digital channels and other relevant platforms. Monitor campaign performance, customer response, and key product KPIs and recommend corrective actions and improvements. Coordinate with insurers and internal teams to develop effective product communication, promotional materials, and campaigns. 3. Business Operations & Coordination Coordinate with Technology, Operations, Customer Service, Compliance, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth product operations. Work closely with eSewa branches and Authorized Representatives to support product awareness, sales, customer servicing, and issue resolution. Monitor transactions and operational processes between eSewa and insurance partners and ensure timely resolution of issues. Support customer complaint resolution and identify recurring issues for product and process improvement. Ensure effective implementation of operational processes and service standards. 4. Stakeholder & Partner Management Maintain regular coordination with insurance companies, regulators, technology service providers, and other strategic business partners. Follow up with insurers and partners regarding product development, operational issues, campaigns, settlements, and service improvements. Support negotiation and execution of agreements, business requirements, and partnership arrangements in coordination with relevant internal teams. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with key stakeholders and partners. 5. Planning & Performance Management Support the preparation and execution of periodic business plans, targets, and strategic initiatives for the Health & Insurance Division. Track product performance, sales, renewals, campaign results, transaction volumes, and other relevant KPIs. Analyze performance data and identify implementation challenges, business opportunities, and areas for improvement. Recommend practical corrective actions to ensure timely achievement of business objectives. Prepare regular performance updates and reports for management. 6. Team Development & Support Guide and support team members in product operations, marketing, customer servicing, and partner coordination. Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to team members to enhance individual and team performance. Facilitate knowledge-sharing and training programs on insurance products, processes, systems, and business initiatives. Support the team in achieving assigned targets and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 7. Business Strategy & Implementation Support Support the Head of Health & Insurance in implementing business strategies and key initiatives aligned with eSewa’s overall business objectives. Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the insurance team, technology teams, and other relevant departments. Support the allocation and effective utilization of human, technical, and financial resources for successful project execution. Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and initiatives, identify challenges, and provide timely updates to management. Proactively identify potential risks and business opportunities and recommend practical solutions to ensure smooth implementation of insurance initiatives.
