Business Head (Electric 3-Wheeler)

Role Expectations: 1. Strategic Ownership Define the medium- and long-term direction of the business: which segments to compete in, which products to push, where to invest, and where to hold back. Prepare the annual business plan — volumes, revenue, margins, expenses, capital requirements, and headcount — and defend it before the MD/Board. Read the market continuously: duty and tax changes, financing conditions, competitor moves, EV transition, and consumer sentiment — and adjust strategy before the market forces a reaction. 2. Profit & Loss Accountability Own the complete P&L: top-line growth, gross margins, operating expenses, and bottom-line delivery. Manage working capital as tightly as sales — inventory levels, stock ageing, dealer receivables, LC exposure, and cash conversion cycles. Take pricing decisions balancing market competitiveness, principal expectations, and margin protection. Present monthly performance to the MD/Board. 3. Principal (OEM) Relationship Management Act as the face of the company to the principal: annual business reviews, target negotiations, ordering plans, and commercial terms. Negotiate and protect the company's interests — pricing support, credit terms, marketing funds, warranty settlements, and incentive schemes. Ensure the company meets its contractual commitments (targets, brand standards, CI compliance, reporting) so the distributorship remains secure and expandable. Build trust at multiple levels of the principal's organization, not just one counterpart. 4. Sales & Market Development Drive national sales performance across retail, dealer/sub-dealer networks, fleet and institutional customers, and government tenders. Expand and manage the dealer network: appointing, supporting and evaluate channel partners. Ensure marketing spend translates into enquiries, conversions, and brand strength, not just visibility. 5. After-Sales, Service & Customer Experience Treat after-sales as a business, not a support function: workshop utilization, spare parts revenue, service reach, and warranty administration. Build the service infrastructure and parts availability that protect the brand's reputation and drive repeat purchase. Own customer satisfaction outcomes across the ownership lifecycle. 6. People Leadership & Organization Building Build the organization: hire the right functional heads, define clear roles and KPIs, and hold people accountable. Develop second-line leadership so the business does not depend on any single individual — including the Business Head. Set the culture: performance-driven, ethical, customer-first, and collaborative across departments. 7. Operations, Imports & Compliance Oversee the import pipeline end-to-end: ordering, LC management, shipping, customs clearance, duty planning, and PDI/stocking. Ensure full compliance with Nepal's regulatory framework — customs, taxation, Department of Transport Management requirements, and applicable EV/emission policies. Maintain disciplined internal controls: approvals, documentation, audit readiness, and risk management. 8. Governance & Reporting Keep the MD/Board informed with accurate, timely, and candid reporting. Escalate risks early: market shifts, principal friction, compliance exposure, or people issues. Operate with full integrity in all dealings — with the principal, dealers, banks, regulators, and employees.
