We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting management with timely financial reporting and analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all accounting transactions and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial activities.Prepare annual and periodic budget forecasts and monitor financial performance against approved budgets.Prepare projected balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports as required.Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial ledgers on a regular basis.Ensure timely processing of bank payments and other financial obligations.Calculate applicable taxes and ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns in compliance with prevailing regulations.Reconcile and coordinate accounting records between project/site accounts and the Head Office.Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheets and profit and loss statements.Monitor and report on the company's financial health, liquidity, and overall financial position.Review and audit financial transactions, accounting records, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and ensure appropriate database backups and data security.Coordinate regularly with project sites and departments to resolve accounting and documentation issues promptly.Conduct daily checking of accounting vouchers, ledgers, sub-ledgers, and cost centers to ensure the correctness of accounting entries and completeness of narrations.Review contracts and agreements, internal memos, purchase orders, job orders, and other relevant financial and operational documents.Review and reconcile receivables, payables, debtors, creditors, prepaid expenses, provisions, TDS, LC margins, PF, salary payable, cash and bank balances, and other long-outstanding ledger balances.Follow up on outstanding reconciliations, ensure necessary supporting documents are collected, and prepare internal memos for approval of required adjustments in the books of accounts.Regularly review revenue and capital expenditure against approved budgeted amounts and highlight significant variances to management.Ensure proper coding and classification of all capital expenditures under the appropriate budget heads for effective tracking and future financial analysis.Prepare financial and accounting reports as required by the Supervisor or Management.Supervise, guide, and support accounting team members to ensure efficient performance and compliance with accounting procedures.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, auditors, project teams, and management on accounting and financial matters.Identify accounting discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions in a timely manner.
